Legal

Terms & conditions.

The terms that govern use of this website, and the terms of our appointment text-message program.

Use of this website

This website is published by Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation for general information. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

You may read, download, and print pages here for your own personal or internal business use. Please do not use the site in any way that interferes with its operation or with anyone else's use of it.

No legal advice

Nothing on this website is legal advice, and using it does not make Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation your lawyer. A solicitor-client relationship begins only after we have run a conflict check, confirmed in writing that we are able to act, and a retainer agreement has been signed.

Our disclaimer sets this out in full, along with specific cautions about the calculators and court information published here.

Do not send confidential information

Please do not send personal or confidential information through this website, by email, by text message, or through any form on it unless we have already been retained.

Until we are retained, what you send is not protected by solicitor-client privilege, and we may already act for someone whose interests are adverse to yours.

Intellectual property

The text, design, layout, graphics, and logos on this website are owned by Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trade-mark law.

You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Reproducing substantial portions, or using the firm's name or logo, requires our written permission.

Limitation of liability

This website is provided as is. We do not warrant that the information on it is accurate, complete, or current, or that the site will be available without interruption or error.

To the extent permitted by law, Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from reliance on anything published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ontario law, including our professional obligations to clients we have been retained by.

SMS / text messaging program

The Telesh Law Firm SMS program sends consultation confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling changes, and administrative follow-ups only. Messaging consent applies only to Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation, not to unrelated third parties. Text messages are not legal advice and do not create a solicitor-client relationship. Please do not send confidential details of your matter by text.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again.
  • Reply HELP for help at any time, or contact us at tlf@teleshlawfirm.ca or 416-639-0887.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining the firm or of any purchase.
  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website or these terms.

Telesh Law Firm Professional Corporation is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario and practises the law of Ontario. Nothing on this website is an offer to practise law in a jurisdiction where we are not licensed to do so.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Any change is posted on this page with a new date, and the version posted here always governs.
